Listen Up - Tyler James

Picture
The UK has been enjoying him long enough; it’s time the rest of us meet Tyler James.

After spending a few years performing around the clubs and bars in his hometown of London, England, in the early-to-mid 2000’s, Tyler James has been evolving his sound and has released his second album, A Place I Go.

His high vocal range and airy vocal quality are a perfect match for his songs, three of which were co-written with the late Amy Whinehouse on his debut album. James’ genre is definitely pop, but with a sophisticated attitude. You’ll often see him in his videos wearing a tailored suit or a casual but still fitted pair of jeans and a tee shirt.

Point is he’s handsome, he can sing, and he is what The Face Magazine called the UK’s “answer to Justin Timberlake.”

His songs go from pop ballad to Whinehouse-influence R&B/Pop in style and carry on well throughout A Place I Go. James’ cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” is sure to please fans of James and Winwood, alike. Fans are sure to enjoy James’ latest single “Worry About You” featuring English rapper, Kano.
