Listen Up! - Quadron
Picking up where Duffy left off, Quadron could easily be the next big soul-pop act to make it big. The Danish duo--made up of Robin Hannibal & Coco O.--released their second album ‘Avalanche’ in 2013, and though it might not have made waves on the charts anywhere but Denmark, you’re going to be really sad you’ve missed them.
The name apparently comes from the fact that they are ¼ black (not sure if that’s both of them or just one, but either way, good for you?), and maybe that’s where all that goddamn soul comes from. Coco’s voice isn’t powerful enough to merit an Adele comparison (and they are too happy!), but their tourmate Mayer Hawthorne is a good indicator of what to expect from Quadron. Website |
