Listen Up! - Episode
New York City-based Episode are riding the new resurgence of hip-pop that seems to be everywhere. I personally love the mix of pop with other genres (dance, country, rock, you name it), and hip-hop is one that has proven to be a success when combined with a poppy backing. With a female vocal on the hook, “Dust” is an amazing debut, surprising you first with it’s delicate beauty, and then with the fact that it’s actually a hip-hop-leaning track. The group is just beginning, but they are planning on releasing an EP hopefully sometime this year. If the rest of their tracks are half as good as this is, they’re on their way to becoming an underground favorite on their way to the mainstream. |
