Listen Up! - Bean
She started her journey by releasing “Like To Love You” on YouTube. It caught the attention of Columbia Records’ A&R department, and the label began courting her as part of a development deal. She ended up in songwriting sessions with some big names , and was even offered a deal...which she turned down. In 2012, she was handpicked as 1 of 25 artists in the Macy’s and iHeartRadio “Rising Star” campaign, while both Pandora and iTunes created a “Bean Radio” channel. She appeared on TV and has opened live shows for the likes of Colbie Caillat, Megan & Liz, Hot Chelle Rae, and Austin Mahone. She’s undeniably charming and her music is something that’s pretty easy to get into. It’s pop, but not the electro kind. She’s not looking to be the next Katy Perry, instead aiming for the whole in the marketplace left by Amy Winehouse’s passing and Duffy’s fade into obscurity. If you don’t believe me, give her a try. You’ll love her sunny personality and fall head over heels for her music. While she might have previously turned down a record label deal, I can very much see another one in her future. This girl might be the next big pop girl, and thank God--the scene was getting a bit stale, wasn’t it? |
