Listen Up - A*M*E![]() Aminata Kabba is better known in the music industry as A*M*E. Man, typing those asterisks can completely fuck up finding her on things like Facebook or Twitter.
She initially received praise from the music community in writing and background work. After co-writing a song titled “Beautiful Stranger;” a song co-written with producer Cutfather for the Korean Pop band f(x), and even doing the backup vocals for Cheryl Cole’s “One Thousand,” Kabba proved she was a force perfect for the pop industry. Kabba was nominated for the BBC’s award Sound of 2013 up against The Weeknd and Angel Haze. If you haven’t heard of all of them yet, you soon will. Everyone else who comes out of the BBC’s “Sound of…” BLOWS UP. Check out her song “Play the Game Boy.” With its Ninento-esque synth sounds, very reminiscent of old-school arcade games, and heavy electronic drums, you’re going to be hitting replay over and over, again. She recently had her first charting song - a UK #1 - shared with Duke Dumont. The song "Need You (100%)" was a smash, and it only solidified her future as a star.
