Free Download - Ester Dean
Did anyone else not hear about this, or was it just me?
The song is by singer-songwriter Ester Dean, who is much better known for working with other artists than her own music. While she did have a top 40 hit with her 2009 debut single “Drop It Low (ft. Chris Brown)”, she hasn’t put much else out there into the mainstream since. She has been busy writing hits for the likes of…well…everyone in the past few years. What songs? Glad you asked. Here’s a sampling of what Ms. Dean can do: Beyonce – “Coutndown” Kelly Clarkson – “Mr. Know It All” David Guetta – “Turn Me On (ft. Nicki Minaj)” Scotty McCreery – “I Love You This Big” Katy Perry – “Firework” and “Peacock” Rihanna – “Rude Boy”, “What’s My Name (ft. Drake)”, “S&M”, “You Da One”, “Where Have You Been”, “Talk That Talk (ft. Jay-Z)” Nicole Scherzinger – “Right There (ft. 50 Cent)”, “Wet” Britney Spears – “(Drop Dead) Beautiful (ft. Sabi)” Yup, and that is just some of what she’s written. Imagine doing all that and making your own tunes on the side? Unfortunately, this track never went anywhere, even though I think it has a good swagger to it. No, it’s not the best pop tune, but damn if she doesn’t have some fucking attitude in there. The song was premiered in July, but I am just hearing it now. I am willing to be most of you all are too, so I don’t feel so bad writing about this now. With someone like Ester, you’re going to want to get this song so you can say “I knew her back when…”, as one day she will finally blow up as a solo artist. |
