9.11.12 - New Music - Pink
Pink has a new album (‘The Truth About Love’) out on the 18th of September, and she’s gunning for that top spot on the charts. A number of artists have decided to release their new albums on that day (including Carly Rae Jepsen and The Killers), but that’s nothing compared to the albums being released on the 25th (which we’ll have to discuss).
Just in time for the album to be released, Pink has dropped a second single. Following the top ten success of “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”, she has decided to take things down a notch and hit on her more meaningful side with “Try”. I think that the song is a good choice for a second single. “Blow Me” had the oomph and the tongue-in-cheekiness that a lead single should, but by the second, we don’t need as much flash. “Try” sees Pink putting out something somewhere between “Glitter In The Air” and her normal pop/rock/punk sound. It may be a gentler moment, but Pink still makes it rock. The song (not to be confused when looking around online with her past album ‘Try This’) is not available yet via Amazon, but it will be soon. |
