8.13.12 - New Music - Swedish House Mafia
We were all extremely sad to hear that dance supergroup Swedish House Mafia are splitting up. They say that they have simply become too busy and they all need to focus on their solo careers for some time, all of which are exploding almost as much as SHM is itself.
They have given us one last single to say goodbye, and the BBC premiered it not too long ago. Sorry in advance – I couldn’t find a version that wasn’t live or that didn’t have this stupid dub over it telling you what radio show or something it’s on. Don’t you worry (child), it doesn’t ruin the listening experience too much. The song is so typical in their style and follows the rhythm pattern of original hit “One (ft. Pharell)” perfectly. I would take some points off for that, but the song is still so great that I basically don’t care. Something tells me the group is waiting to do a video or make an edit or two before actually releasing this song, so hold tight. Also, I have a suspicion that there will be more music from them, and that we won’t have to wait toooooo long for it. “Don’t You Worry Child (ft. John Martin)” is not available yet (as I mentioned). |
