7.19.12 - New Music - The Killers

As much as I do love this song, isn’t it a Journey song?

So old school rock, and the boys are doing it well. Not at spectacularly weirdly written as Brandon Flowers’ other efforts, but the song is still pretty damned good. I like that after playing with dance and pop (think “Human”) they are bringing it back to the melodic makes-you-jump rock that they kill at.

Another thought – doesn’t the song seem to follow the same tune as one of the album tracks’ from Train’s new album:

I am thinking this would be a good third single from their album, we’ll see. And hey – they mention Journey in this song too! A coincidence? I think not.

Oh, sorry, got off track, we were talking about the Killers. My bad. Well, anyways, I think “Runaways” is a great preview for their fourth album, and I am more excited about it than I was before. And I can’t wait to hear this live – I bet this shit kills in an arena.
