New Music - The Ting Tings
The Ting Tings seem to be taking a hint and hopping on the trend of the moment: disco throwbacks. New single “Wrong Club” is simultaneously dancey and laid back, letting you sway back and forth or go crazy, with either fitting perfectly with the music and the vibe given off by the British duo. Sadly, there isn’t really a lot here that brings you back. This certainly doesn’t feel like a lead single (they just announced their latest CD ‘Super Critical’), that’s for sure. It makes for good background listening, possibly for a lounge or trendy party, but this isn’t a smash that will get people talking--certainly not after the likes of Daft Punk and Bruno Mars have already done this and moved on. |
