6.25.12 - New Music - Ed Drewett

Ed Drewett is a name that essentially no one knows yet, but in time, maybe a few of you will begin to become familiar with it. Ed Drewett is a British singer-songwriter that has started to make a name for himself after writing a little song a few people heard called “Glad You Came” that was sung by a few boys from the UK known as The Wanted. I mean, I’ve never heard of them, have you?

Anyways, like most songwriters, Drewett is really focused on starting a career of his own. He had a single back in 2010 of his own that broke into the top 100 in the UK, but other than that, it didn’t have much of an affect. He’s back now with another single, “Good Morning”.

“Good Morning” is a departure from “Glad You Came” and the one or two features he’s done in the UK in that it is such a laidback tune. “Good Morning” isn’t trying to get anywhere fast; the song takes its time not saying much but making you feel good. It sounds like laying in a hammock on a warm summer’s day feels. Or, at least that’s what I think.

You can actually download “Good Morning” for free if you sign up for Ed’s mailing list (which you can of course then immediately unsubscribe from).

PS – I likes me some blonde boys, so Ed is alright in my book.
