5.6.12 - New Music - Alanis Morissette
You all may not be real Alanis Morissette fans, but I am. In fact, do you all even know who Alanis Morissette is? I fear some of you do not.
Well, the pop/rock heroine is coming out with her eighth album this summer, and the lead single, entitled “Guardian” is out now. This is a perfect Alanis track. She’s gone back and forth in her career in terms of what kind of sound she wants, but this adult-rock-pop thing she’s been doing for a while is great. It may not do her terribly well on the charts (she hasn’t had a Hot 100 top 20 hit since 1997; although, she does much better in her native Canada), but she is the only one really doing it, and she’s doing it awesome. Lot's of guitars, interesting production, meaningful lyrics...she's back! |
