5.12.12 - New Music - Hot Chip
Weird as they may be, Hot Chip is one of my favorite groups. They aren’t afraid to make music that is out there – experimental and alternative – but they also know who they are and what their fans want. They always come up with something new, something crazy, but it is always 100% Hot Chip. They are even one of the rare examples of a group who goes out on a limb time and time again, and is rewarded time and time again (if only in their home country of the UK). I say we need more pop groups like Hot Chip. They make their own tunes (instruments!?!? WHAT!?!?), and I always love it.
They recently released the first single off of their upcoming fifth album ‘In Our Heads’, called “Night and Day”. For those who know anything about Hot Chip (whom I have mentioned before, and we should get acquainted with sometime soon), you know what to expect with this track. Don’t worry, they do not disappoint. Excellent, yeah? So typically HC, which means great. I can’t wait to hear what the album has in store – there are always a few gems on each release. |
