5 Questions With - 2013

5 Questions With - Amusium

Picture
I waited a while before writing about Amusium – one of my favorite new pop acts – but now it’s all hands on deck. I finally just let the cat out of the bag, and now it is time to have a Twitter chat with him.

Our back and forth wasn’t so much about…well…music...as it was the Golden Globes and how wonderful Tina Fey is. Continue

5 Questions With - Chris Wallace

Picture
We have only mentioned Chris Wallace once or twice, but it seems he is becoming a big deal. Itunes named his debut ‘Push Rewind’ the Breakthrough Pop Album of 2012, and that is saying something, as there certainly were a number of really great pop albums this past year (ummm, Carly Rae Jepsen anyone?). Continue

5 QUESTIONS WITH - HOT CHELLE RAE

Picture
Hey everyone! Remember Hot Chelle Rae!?!? Yes, you do. Who can forget the silliest of recent summer anthems “Tonight, Tonight”. You know, the song where they somehow worked the name Zach Galifinakis into a line? To do that – and to actually pull it off – takes balls and talent. Don’t dismiss a song just because it has a silly theme. After all, LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” not only made it to #1, but was nominated for a Grammy. Silly is serious business. Continue

5 QUESTIONS WITH - KREWELLA

Picture
You wanna talk about dance becoming part of the mainstream? Look at Krewella. The trio has been popular on the dance circuit for years, but only in the past few months have they made a surge for something greater. Their single “Alive” is working its way up the Hot 100, and for something so EDM-intensive, that’s impressive. Continue

5 Questions With - Bridgit Mendler

Picture
Bridgit Mendler quietly released one of the better pop albums last October, and while it only made it to #30, we loved it.

Since then, the Disney actress/singer has been building buzz here and across the pond. Lead single “Ready or Not” might have only reached as high as #49 in the US, but it was a surprise top ten hit in the UK. After riding that high for a number of months, Bridgit chose the brilliant “Hurricane” for her second single.                                                Continue

5 Questions With - Le Grind

Picture
You may not know Le Grind too well, but we do. The trio only has one song out, but it’s a DOOZY. We mentioned it earlier, and the other day (while I was on a bus no less), we did a Twitter Q&A with them.
