3.5.13 - New Music - Owl City and Yuna

I have always been a fan of basically everything that Owl City has ever put out, but I gotta say, this one just ain’t my cup of tea.

Adam Young (AKA Owl) has been putting out music left and right lately (an album every year is a lot of work), and some of it hasn’t even been for himself. It appears that Mr. Owl has been taking any opportunity to produce a song for a soundtrack that comes his way as of late. First it was that owl/guardian movie (appropro), and recently he wrote a super-poppy dance song called “When Can I See You Again?” for Disney’s ‘Wreck-It Ralph’.

His latest cinematic effort is a collaboration with fellow artist Yuna (who, if you don’t know very well, you should) for a new animated film called ‘The Croods’. I’ve never heard of the movie, and to me it looks like ‘Ice Age 4’, but what do I know?

The song is very meh. I am shocked to find myself writing that word in the same post as Owl City, but I gotta tell the truth. He has done better, and this feels haphazard.

Next soundtrack will be better.
