3.2.12 - New Music - Far East Movement and Justin BieberFar East Movement are back to see if they can’t replicate the success of their debut album (which had the smash “Fly Like A G6 (ft. Dev)” and “Rocketeer (ft. Ryan Tedder)”. Their sophomore album ‘Dirty Bass’ is due out sometime later this year, and so far it seems rather heavy on the collabos. They are reaching for some press attention and another big hit, this time having RedOne produce, and Justin Bieber feature.
The track isn’t really that special, and there isn’t a shred of originality to be found. Not only is this typical for Far East Movement, it is just a stereotypical party-in-the-club song. The song sounds suspiciously like Jennifer Lopez’s “On The Floor”, which RedOne also produced. If someone had told me that the chorus was actually sung by Enrique Iglesias, rather than Biebs, I would have believed you. So, I’m not in love with it. But, to be fair, I’ve never been in love with anything that FEM has done. Although, let’s think – is this song better or worse than their first single off of ‘Dirty Bass’, which was released last year (and no one really seemed to notice)? The video is kind of fun though. Just don’t listen. So, that’s what the new Far East Movement album is going to be. We all knew this was coming. Brace! |
