3.12.13 - New Music - Chery Lloyd and Juicy J

This song has quite the history.

The original version, which featured Mike Posner, was released in the UK in October 2011. After she started to find success in the US with “Want U Back”, her label decided to release this as a single, but this was around September 2012. A whole year!

But wait, that’s not it. The song was changed a bit, this time around switching Posner out for Juicy J, a member of Three 6 Mafia who has recently been having a lot of success as a solo artist. This is a good move for him, and probably for her as well. I am sad that Mike was dropped from the track. I like him, and I really want him to make a come back!

The song, for those still unfamiliar, is almost as catchy as “Want U Back”, and those who were jamming along all summer to that will be just as on board here. “With Ur Love” fits in perfectly with Cher’s style, as does the rap verse (for once it isn’t just to add a name to the title).
