New Music - Example

It’s a shame when an artist you’ve historically been a fan of releases several new songs in a row, but you can’t really like any of them. Everyone slips and makes mistakes here and there, and while that can be disappointing, many of our favorite singers often recover and release things we are excited about.

Example is not one of these artists...at least not right now. In his career, he’s already managed to have sixteen top 40 hits in the UK, and many of them are quite enjoyable. To promote his upcoming fifth album (which still doesn’t have a name or release date, by the way), he’s released two singles: “All The Wrong Places” and now “Kids Again”.

Where “All” was “Wrong” (ha!) for several reasons, “Kids” is just kind of...boring...which is a word I’m shocked to be using in the context of Example. Sure, it’s got the EDM beat everyone’s looking for, but we’re weary of these tried-and-true sounds. We want something original, and there’s little here to differentiate it from other club bangers.
