11.9.12 - New Music - Pitbull and Christina Aguilera

Well, Pitbull has done it again. Another song about the same old same old, only this time he’s roped Christina Aguilera into the fray as well. I can’t blame her – she’s got an album to promote, and lord knows her single ain’t doing enough to let her relax.

The first thing that becomes apparent is the a-ha “Take On Me” music that’s happening. And not even subtly or just a quick sample – we’re talking the entire chorus. Pitbull’s version is different for two main reasons. First, it is a lot LOUDER. The chorus smacks you in the face and just keeps going. Second, it’s obviously worse.

Not even a star like Christina could save this song. Is it the worst? No. Is it just as boring as the last few tracks he’s put out? Yes. Pitbull was at his best when he did “Calle Ocho”, because musically it was interesting and the mainstream had never heard those sounds before. Now he’s become the lesser Flo Rida, and that is never a good thing.

“Feel This Moment (ft. Christina Aguilera)” is the fourth official single from his upcoming ‘Global Warming’ album. Can you name the other three singles? I bet you can’t.

“Feel This Moment (ft. Christina Aguilera)” isn’t out just yet, but seeing as his album is dropping in less than a week, I’m willing to be it will be any day now.
