11.3.13 - New Music - One Direction

Another day, another One Direction single. Is it just me, or are those of us who aren’t “Directioners” waiting for something to really stand out?

To be fair, their latest single “Story of my Life” is a step from the usual guitar-driven power pop of songs like “Best Song Ever”, as it borrows heavily from the acoustic moments in a Mumford track.

“Story…” is a nice tune, and I don’t have any strong feelings either way. Will it chart well? Sure, of course. Will this go down as a single we remember the group for? No, but to be fair, which ones will we remember years from now?
