11.2.12 - New Music - Matchbox 20

After the so-so performance of “She’s So Mean”, Matchbox 20 are at it again. The second single from their latest album ‘North’ (which was also their first number one in their career) is “Overjoyed”.

The song is a slower effort, and I really like it. Do I think that it has great single potential? No. But that doesn’t mean the song isn’t still a nice, sweet tune from Rob Thomas and the boys.

A nice, acoustic guitar-led love song is always alright by me.

I believe that this song was released as a single a while back, but I haven’t heard anything about radio or charting. And, the video was JUST released, so they couldn’t have been pushing it that hard.
