NEW MUSIC - AVICII

Avicii found his own little niche of dance music and he’s pretty much going to stick with it, isn’t he?

That country, guitar-sampling EDM sound is something we’d never really seen before he came along, and he doesn’t seem to be done with it yet. After the lackluster performance of his last single “The Days”, the Swedish DJ is ready for another go at it.

“The Nights” (shocker that it comes after “The Days”) is more of the same, which sadly isn’t doing as much for me as it used to. I had heard some really exciting things about what Avicii was working on now, but I have yet to hear it in his music.

The track is fine enough, and will get you going if it comes on late enough in the night for you not to notice you’ve probably heard something just like it before, but other than that, I’m fairly ambivalent about this one.
