Recent X Factor UK winners Little Mix are hoping to continue their winning streak with their new single “DNA”.

The song is their fourth overall single released since winning the show (less than a year ago), and the second off their upcoming debut album of the same name. Their first three singles have all gone to #1 (three number ones in one year is absolutely nothing to scoff at), and I am sure that “DNA” will do fine on the UK charts.

The song itself is..meh. It is certainly on trend with the dubstep movement, but lyrically I’m bored. This is exactly what I would expect from a British female girl group, only less. I can’t really dance to this, and it isn’t lyrically interesting enough to make up for that. The song is fine, and I am sure quite a few Brits will enjoy it, but I think their last single – “Wings” – was much better.

“DNA” is not available in the US, and probably won’t be.
