10.31.13 - New Music - Eminem & Rihanna

I was going to write this up yesterday, but today is Halloween! What could be more appropriate than a song called “Monster”?

The latest single from Eminem’s “MMLP2”—that’s the fourth, if anyone is counting—features a familiar guest. Rihanna jumps on hook duties for the first real big single from Em’s latest album. Sure, “Berzerk” charted high, but it also fell quickly. “Monster” is a bit too close to “Love the Way You Lie” to ignore, but that also means it has a lot of potential as a hit.

The production is more pop than hip hop, so much so I assumed it was created by someone like Dr. Luke. This is going to kill on radio, even if we’ve heard it before.
