10.18.12 - New Music - Matthew Koma

After the success of his collaboration with Zedd in “Spectrum,” Matthew Koma has released a brand new video for his promotional single “Parachute,” and it’s doing wonders for the song.

“The video takes place inside of a girl's mind / psyche,” Koma said about his new release. “We worked on a bunch of different projections / images that play off the lyric and interact with her.”

The best part? It all came together beautifully. Koma basically plays the voice of a girl’s conscience while she is struggling with her inner self, and with that amazing vocal range of his it’s no doubt the video and the song flow perfectly into one another.

“I always thought it would be interesting to see someone physically go through their own headspace,” Koma said about his vision for the video. “Naturally, I'm nonchalantly performing in her head."

Also, it actually shows him singing into a microphone, something that seems to have been forgotten in today’s video culture.

“Parachute” is very unique and fresh with an eclectic color scheme and dramatic element to it making it more than worthy of checking out.

Koma’s been working hard lately, seeing as he just released a song a month ago (which you can have for free if your realll nice).

The “Parachute” EP is available</a> on iTunes, and you can just grab the single as well.
